This Sunday, December 6th at 3 PM, there will be an international service in the Christians Church in Klaksvík. Pastor Marjun Lómaklett is arranging the service, which is intended foreigners in Klaksvík, eventhough everyone is welcome. After the service there will be a get-together in the Church.
In November 2014, Klaksvíkar kommuna passed an Integration-policy. One of the key-points in this is that the Faroese language is of great importance regarding integration. And as foreigners seldom understand Faroese in the beginning of their residency, arrangements and communication in english is good for the integrations-process, as it gives these newcomers an opportunity to take part in society on more equal terms.
